Digital guidebook

A digital guidebook your guests actually open

One QR code in the place, one live page on the guest's phone: Wi-Fi, check-in, house rules, how things work and your favourite places, in their language. You edit it online; the printed code never changes.

What a digital guidebook is

A digital guidebook is the welcome binder, the house manual and your list of local tips on one web page. Guests open it by scanning a QR code in the place or tapping a link in your booking message. No app, no login, no PDF to download. When the Wi-Fi password, the bin day or the best bakery changes, you change the page and every guest sees the new version the next time they open it.

Airbnb's own house manual and check-out instructions are useful, but they live inside the Airbnb app. Guests who booked on Booking.com, booked direct, or are travelling with the person who made the booking never see them. A guidebook on its own link works for all of them.

What to put in it

  • Wi-Fi: network and password with a copy button, plus a join code for the camera.
  • Arrival: check-in time, how to get the keys, parking, which door, the lift.
  • House rules: the eight to twelve that matter. Our house rules template has wording you can copy.
  • How things work: heating and air conditioning, hot water, hob, washing machine, TV. The house manual template lists them.
  • Rubbish and recycling: which bin, which day, where the containers are.
  • Places you love: restaurants, the beach, the supermarket and the pharmacy, on a map with a directions button.
  • Getting around: taxi apps, the bus stop, airport transfer.
  • Emergencies: 112, the nearest hospital, how to reach you.
  • Check-out: time and a short list. See check-out instructions.

How guests open it

Two ways, and use both. Put a QR sign inside the front door and a second one on the fridge or the bedside table: guests scan it the moment they arrive, which is exactly when the questions start. Then paste the link into the message you send two days before arrival, so guests read the arrival section on the way. The page works on any phone, in any browser, and it opens in the guest's language.

Do guests need to download an app?

Does it work for Booking.com and direct bookings?

Yes. The guidebook has its own link and QR code, so it works for every guest no matter where they booked.

How much does it cost?

$9 a month, or $54 a year (half price), after a 7-day free trial that needs no card. One price covers all your pages; Etsy buyers get 30 days included.
