Wi-Fi QR code sign, in ten seconds.
Guests point the camera at the sign and join the network. No typing, no asking at the desk. Everything happens in your browser; the password is never sent anywhere.
Put the whole guest guide behind one QR
Wi-Fi, check-in, house rules, how things work and your favourite places, on a page you edit online. Change the password and every printed sign stays valid. Free to start.
How a Wi-Fi QR code works
The code holds a short text in a standard format: the network name, the security type and the password. When a phone camera reads it, the phone offers to join that network. Nothing is downloaded and no app is installed. The format is the same one Android and iOS use when they share a network from the settings screen.
Questions
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. iPhone (iOS 11 and later) and Android (10 and later) read the code with the built-in camera app and offer to join. Older Android phones may need Google Lens or a QR app.
Is my password sent anywhere?
No. The code is generated in your browser with a small script. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.
What happens when I change the password?
A Wi-Fi QR code contains the password, so you print a new sign. If you want a sign that never changes, put a Herely guest page behind the QR and edit the password online.
Which security type should I pick?
Almost every modern router uses WPA or WPA2, and WPA3 networks also work with the WPA setting. Pick “No password” only for open networks.
Can I use my own design?
Download the PNG and place it in any layout. The code needs a quiet white margin around it and should print at least 3 cm wide.
